Lebanon Update 3

Iran:

According to this AP wire, quoting Iran's news agnecy, the Iranian president, in a telephone conversation with his fellow terrorist, Bashar al-Assad, threatened that an attack on Syria is an attack on the Muslim world. Who apponted Ahmadinejad the leader of the Muslim world?

Financial Damagae:

According to the Daily Star, the financial damage so far is estimated at USD 25M, and counting.

Trapped in Beirut:

Beirut is full of tourists (I was there a few weeks ago), the tourists are running out of a way to get out. The airport's runways were hit by IDF, causing cancellations of all flights. And now reports are saying that the main highway linking Beirut and Syria has also been hit.

Al-Jazeera's Photos:

Al-Jazeera, which is praising what it calls the Lebanese "resistance" has published a number of photos that show some of the damage caused by the Israeli attacks.

Saudi Arabian reaction:

Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Lebanon helped arrange the evacuation of some 3000 Saudi nationals from Beirut and has advised the remaining Saudis to leave the city that is now at war. Also in an Aljeeran report, the Saudis are blaming "elements" inside Lebanon (Hizbollah) for the violence. This is great for Saudi Arabia, Syria, Hizbollah and Iran are all likely to suffer from the ongoing crisis and what more do the Saudis want?
